Delicious Char Siew Wanton Mee at Chef Kang Noodle House

Located in the heartlands of Toa Payoh at Jackson Square, Chef Kang's Noodle House has won a Michelin award in 2019 for their wanton noodles, making it a must-visit spot for wanton mee enthusiasts.

Their famous char siew steals the show, with thick and chunky slices that are caramelized on the outside and creamy on the inside. The noodles are smooth and chewy, holding up perfectly with the delicious sauce mix that gives off a pleasant sheen.

The sauce is full-bodied and bursting with richness, while the fried pork lard on the side adds a perfect crunch. The wantons are a class of their own, with plump size and crunchy prawns within, along with flavourful minced pork, celery, chestnut, mushrooms, and more.

The soup is also a standout, with a clear chicken broth that is mildly savoury and rich in its aftertaste. The whole experience at Chef Kang's Noodle House is unparalleled and not your typical wanton noodles.

At only $6 per order, this wanton mee is definitely worth trying and is one of the best in Singapore. Highly recommended!

Hunan Pork Belly at Xiang Xiang Hunan: Crunchy, Spicy, and Lip-Smacking Good

You know a dish is that good when you keep coming back for it. And that’s exactly what happened on our third visit to Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine 湘香湖南菜 —this time at AMK Hub. We already had high expectations from our past experiences, but once again, their Hunan pork belly blew us away. View this post on Instagram A post shared by YumzYumz.com (@yumzyumzsg) What Makes This Hunan Pork Belly Stand Out? First off, let’s talk about the star of the show: their Hunan stir fry pork , made with a heavenly combo of Iberico pork belly and lean pork. It’s a dish that really brings out the spirit of Hunan cooking—bold, fragrant, slightly spicy, and loaded with green pepper aromatics. The pork belly is wonderfully fatty and tender, with that unmistakable richness that Iberico pork is known for. The lean pork adds a nice balance so it doesn’t get overly unctuous. And then there's the rabbit ear fungus. Yes, rabbit ear fungus—also known as Mu Er or Yunnan black fungus . It...

Two combo sets—Combo A and Combo B—meant we could try six different dishes, including their famous bibim noodles , which definitely deserved the spotlight.
