Unleash Your Inner Carnivore with Black Tap’s Wagyu Steakhouse Burger

We recently visited Black Tap at MBS and had to try their award-winning Wagyu Steakhouse Burger. It won the 2021 Judge's Choice Award at the NYC Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash, and it did not disappoint. The thick and juicy wagyu patty was cooked to perfection and topped with melted pepper jack cheese, crispy bacon, and fried onions. The roasted garlic aioli complemented the flavors and the saucer of A1 steak sauce added an indulgent touch.

The burger came with a refreshing touch of greens and tomato slices and a juicy halved pickle. But the standout was the chunky and crispy French fries, which were soft and fluffy on the inside and had a subtle aroma.

The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. However, the only downside is the price tag of $29, which makes it a splurge rather than an everyday meal.

Overall, dining at Black Tap was an amazing experience, and we highly recommend their Wagyu Steakhouse Burger to any burger lover looking to indulge in a treat.

Hunan Pork Belly at Xiang Xiang Hunan: Crunchy, Spicy, and Lip-Smacking Good

You know a dish is that good when you keep coming back for it. And that’s exactly what happened on our third visit to Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine 湘香湖南菜 —this time at AMK Hub. We already had high expectations from our past experiences, but once again, their Hunan pork belly blew us away. View this post on Instagram A post shared by YumzYumz.com (@yumzyumzsg) What Makes This Hunan Pork Belly Stand Out? First off, let’s talk about the star of the show: their Hunan stir fry pork , made with a heavenly combo of Iberico pork belly and lean pork. It’s a dish that really brings out the spirit of Hunan cooking—bold, fragrant, slightly spicy, and loaded with green pepper aromatics. The pork belly is wonderfully fatty and tender, with that unmistakable richness that Iberico pork is known for. The lean pork adds a nice balance so it doesn’t get overly unctuous. And then there's the rabbit ear fungus. Yes, rabbit ear fungus—also known as Mu Er or Yunnan black fungus . It...

Hooi Kee’s Hong Kong Style Roasted Char Siew and Roasted Chicken Rice: A Decent Meal?

Looking for what to eat in Ang Mo Kio, we got ourselves a simple order of char siew rice with roasted chicken for this round of chicken rice food review. View this post on Instagram A post shared by YumzYumz.com (@yumzyumzsg) Char siew pieces were fatty and lean, a good ratio combination, with the fats roasted to a melt in your mouth consistency. We loved the gravy that drizzled onto the charred and caramelized parts, which elevated its taste and flavour. Coupled with the tenderlicious roasted chicken, which was soft and juicy even for their breast meat. Skin was crisp and tasted lovely with their briny sauce. Rice was fragrant and not greasy, and somewhat addictive together with the char siew gravy and chicken sauce. Chili was mundane, runny and spicy, complimenting the rice and chicken perfectly. @yumzyumzsg Hooi Kee Hong Kong Style Roasted - Roasted Chicken Rice with Char Siew Visit YumzYumz.com for their food review. #sgfood #foodlover #foodreview #f...
